I know I didn’t post the “Dexter Morgan” joint July 4th as promised. Oddly, its still in its mixing stages. I wasn’t happy with the way the mixes were coming out Friday and I didn’t have time to finish it this weekend. However, I am posting the og version right now. So peep it and let me know what you think. Other than that, its still undergoing mixing and I changed the hook. So, take that!
Moving on….
I did write a post on Michael Jackson July 4th. I didn’t post it because I didn’t like it after I read it a couple times. I’m the type of dude that likes to give shit the test of time. If he can’t stand the test of time, fuck it. You guys will see that in the future. I was thinking about doing a tribute but I didn’t want it to come off as some half-assed attempt to get some popularity off MJ. But its not like I haven’t done anything Michael Jackson related ever. I remixed “Remember The Times” three times last year. I’m also posting the links for that at the end of the blog. I still think I’m going to do a tribute because he helped me in more ways than one. “Off The Wall” is one of my favorite albums ever, by the way. No, I’m not just saying that cause dude died. I’m staying that cause I had it on my mp3 player and listened to it about once a week for the last two years.
Did I mention that tribute will be the only beat I make in the month of July?
I’ve decided to take the whole month of July off from producing and focus on finishing my albums. I was going through mad beats the other day and came to the realization, I have more than enough to finish my albums. This might come off cocky but fuck it, I’m dope and I know it. So, I don’t need to keep making beats, keep making beats if they not getting used. When August 1st hits, I’ll make some more shit. I don’t solicit beats like that anyway unless you fam so that last statement probably doesn’t apply.

What? You thought I was just in it to get in and get out? Nah, I can’t expect ya’ll to purchase “Dreams of An Insomniac” without giving you a reason to. So I’m putting out a couple free projects in the next coming months. At the end of all the projects, it’ll contain snippets from “Dreams of An Insomniac”. On top of that I’m still putting out freestyles over other artist beats. After “Dreams of An Insomniac” will come “Inspired By Pain” which will drop between Spring and Summer 2010. Shit, before I forget. I’m doing webisodes of me working on the album. Most likely it’ll be 10 minutes long with pieces taken from different days of the week just to get ya’ll knowing where I’m at with the album. You’ll also get a glimpse at the other projects I got going on too. I’m looking forward to doing that. But other than that I’m chilling.
