Still My Hood
Looks like my man (c. Denzel Washington), Combat Jack is getting his wish. 50 Cent is attempting to get Jay to say something. Now this ladies and gentlemen, could potentially be an epic bout for us as rap fans, and the casual teenage fan.
I’m not against rap battling. I’m all for it. In high school, I battled anyone that wanted it. Shit, I’d come to your school and battle you! So when I hear rappers about to go at each others throats with lyrics, I get excited.
So naturally when I heard Beenie Segiel and 50 Cent’s new joint, “I Go Off” I got excited. That excitement was cut short at the end of the song after 50 Cent says “Jay you used to be from Marcy. Now you a pass the grey poupon ass nigga. If you don’t want the shooters, I’ll take em.”.
Way to go 50. You my good friend just told kids, teenagers, and misguided adults that its not cool to change. That its not cool to grow out of the mentality the hood gives you. Thanks a lot, motherfucker.
As an adult now, I go back to my old nieghborhood and I’m happy I made a change. Most of my niggas that didn’t make a change are in jail or selling drugs. 50 is displaying jealousy. The same jealousy that I see in the hood all the time.
Jay can’t be the same Jay he was in Marcy. With success comes the responsibility to help others obtain the same amount. Jay has grown up now. When you grow up, you put away childish things, right?
I’m just sayin, so the fuck what Jay went from Marcy to pass the grey poupon. He could have went from Marcy to cell block d. Shit, I hope I go from Baltimore to pass the grey poupon. That’s a nice transistion to make.
Far as this “shooters” thing is concerned, all shooters get shot. Some people may get hurt because they couldn’t get the shooter. If I was Jay, I wouldn’t want a shooter either at this point. Too much trouble.
I hope 50 realizes its a lot more to growing up than keeping it real. I hope he help kids get out the ghetto and stop this brainwashing. Encourage more to pass the grey poupon instead of the weed, asshat.
Man, 50 Cent can’t talk about a “grey poupon ass nigga” when he’s doing white collar shit during beefs like releasing audio tapes of niggas crying or signing a rival’s ex to your publishing so she can write a book about him. I really feel 50 Cent should just give up. We know the routine. Trying to catch bigger fish with the same old fishing rod isn’t always gonna work (c). I copywrited that. You can’t use it.
